The Matterhorn’s ski resort is one of the vastests resorts of the Alps and the sum of its slopes reaches dozens of kilometers in length. They are of various difficulty levels and therefore ideal for both beginner and expert skiers. All the slopes are equipped with artificial snow blowing machines. The ski resort extends from Cervinia to Zermatt to Valtournenche, all of which are connected through splendid ski slopes as the Reine Blanche or the Ventina. Slope number 7 of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise is one of the most beautiful and exciting slopes of the Alps (11 km in it’s totality, with a vertical height of 1,5 km - from the Plateau Rosa’s 3480 m to Cervinia’s 2006 m). The majestic Reine Blanche offers 15 km of skiing, from Colle Cime Bianche’s 3000 m all the way down to Valtournenche, which is situated at 1500 m of altitude. This slope can be reached a little further down from Bec Carrè, under the mount of Cime Bianche at 2850 m of altitude. The slope continues down for 13 km to Valtournenche, along the Valtournenche ski competion’s route, which the complex overlooks.During the winter, it is possible to ski in the Chamois Valley as well as in Torgnon (especially when at at different altitudes there might be wind and it would be impossible to ski). These resorts are reachable through public transportation but are not connected one to the other. In the Cervinia-Valtournenche resort you can also ski in the summer: in fact, by reaching the glacier above Cervinia you will find a fun and ample ski resort which will satisfy even the most demanding skiers. The Residence is connected directly to Valtournenche and to the Cervinia and Zermatt ski resort through the slope which goes by the complex directly. On particularly sunny days you can enjoy un incredible view of the highest peaks of the Valley, including the majestic Mont Blanc from the glacier.Valtournenche offers interesting alternatives even for those who enjoy ski touring. You can find a series of fun and challenging routes that start in Cheneil (2033 m), 4 km from the complex if you continue onto its street. It has various types of routes which can even take you to the Falinère peak, to the Petite Tournalin, or to the Fontanafredda peak towards Chamois.
